Kendall County, IL – An aggravated vehicular hijacking in the Boulder Hill Subdivision has prompted an investigation by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office. The incident, which occurred in the 0-100 block of Seneca Dr, fortunately did not result in any injuries.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, on January 15th, 2024, around 9:03 PM, deputies responded to the hijacking report. The victim, who had listed their vehicle for sale online, arranged a meeting with the alleged offenders to view the car. It was during this meeting that the offenders reportedly brandished firearms and hijacked the vehicle. The stolen vehicle was later found in Lake County, Indiana.
Detectives are actively coordinating with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Indiana as part of the ongoing investigation. Currently, this incident is believed to be isolated.
