Kentucky Authorities on Hunt for Escaped Inmate in Madison County

Richmond, KY – Kentucky State Police are actively seeking an escaped inmate from the Bluegrass Career and Development Center in Richmond, Kentucky. The escape occurred shortly before noon today, February 26th, 2024.

According to the Kentucky State Police, the inmate, identified as 43-year-old James D. Jackson from Albany, KY, is described as a white male, around 5’11″ tall, weighing approximately 181 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray hat, brown long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and work boots. Jackson was serving a sentence for Trafficking Methamphetamine, 1st Degree, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on Jackson’s whereabouts to contact local law enforcement or call KSP Post 7 at 859.623.2404. The case is currently under investigation by KSP Trooper John Odea.
