Kentucky Braces for Severe Weather Sunday: Tornadoes, Hail, and Flooding Possible

Louisville, KY – Severe weather is anticipated to hit the Lower Ohio Valley on Sunday afternoon, extending into the evening.

According to the US National Weather Service Louisville Kentucky, all severe weather hazards, including damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail, and localized flooding, are possible. The greatest threat for severe weather will be in southern Indiana and north-central Kentucky. Residents are urged to stay weather aware throughout the holiday weekend.

Meteorologists are closely monitoring the situation and advise that the organized severe weather is likely to develop mainly in the late afternoon and evening on Sunday. The potential for these hazardous conditions coincides with Memorial Day weekend, a time when many people are traveling or participating in outdoor activities, increasing the importance of staying informed about weather updates.
