Versailles, KY – Kentucky State Police arrested a Versailles man on charges related to child sexual abuse material on June 6.
According to Kentucky State Police, Chad A. Swiger, 43, was arrested following an undercover investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children unit. Authorities began the investigation after discovering the suspect allegedly sharing images of child sexual exploitation online.
The investigation led to a search warrant at Swiger’s residence, resulting in the seizure of equipment used in the crime.
Swiger faces twenty counts of distribution and ten counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, with charges carrying potential sentences of five to ten years in prison. He is currently held at the Woodford County Detention Center.
