La Salle County, IL – In a concerning sequence of events, two individuals were discovered deceased in separate apartments within a half hour of each other on Monday in La Salle County.
Police conducted wellness checks at the high-rise complex on Second Street, where they found a 60-year-old man dead in his apartment shortly after 1:30 p.m. Shortly thereafter, a 46-year-old woman was also found deceased in her apartment.
The La Salle County Coroner’s office is investigating both cases, with an autopsy planned for the woman to determine her cause of death. At present, authorities do not suspect foul play in either incident. The La Salle Police Department’s Investigations Unit is assisting with both investigations.
