Round Lake Beach, IL – A popular spring carnival is returning to Lake County this May, with a new location and a full lineup of rides, food, and family-friendly attractions scheduled over two weekends.

According to the Round Lake Beach Emergency Management Agency (EMA), the annual fundraising carnival will take place at 550 E. Rollins Road in Round Lake Beach, located in the former Regal Cinemas parking lot. The event, operated by Skinners Amusements, is set to run Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 10, 2026, with varying daily hours.

Organizers say the carnival will be open Fridays from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturdays from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sundays with earlier closing times—8:00 p.m. on May 3 and 6:00 p.m. on May 10. Officials note that hours may change depending on weather conditions.

The event will feature classic carnival rides, midway games, and a wide range of food options including funnel cakes, corn dogs, lemonade, and other fair favorites. The EMA says the fundraiser helps support its volunteer operations while also providing a seasonal gathering for the community.

Families attending can also stop by the EMA trailer, where children are invited to participate in coloring activities, while adults can learn more about volunteer opportunities and enter a free giveaway.

The carnival is expected to draw visitors from across Lake County, including nearby communities such as Waukegan, Grayslake, and Gurnee, as spring weather begins to warm across the region.

Organizers encourage attendees to check for updates as the event approaches, especially in the case of weather-related schedule changes.
