Lake County, IL – Round Lake Police Department provided an update on Monday at 10:45 AM regarding a recent bomb threat at Magee Middle School in the town of Round Lake. The case has been resolved, following a detailed investigation into the incident initially reported last week.

According to the Round Lake Police Department, officers responded to a bomb threat at Magee Middle School. The investigation concluded that two juveniles were responsible for contacting the school with a fabricated bomb threat. These individuals are now being referred to the juvenile justice system, where they face charges of Disorderly Conduct, classified as a Class 3 Felony.

The department reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining community safety and highlighted their collaborative efforts with local partners in addressing such threats. This incident underscores the gravity of making false threats and the ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of schools in the Lake County area.
