Lake County, IL – Several Pounds of Methamphetamines Found in Zion Home; Warrant Search Ends in Three Arrests

Zion, IL – A meticulous warrant search by the Zion Police Department in a Lake County home culminates in the discovery of 3 kilograms (6.6lbs) of methamphetamines and ends with three individuals arrested on felony charges.

According to Zion Police in a press release, authorities detailed that the March 5th operation focused on a Gurnee residence suspected of methamphetamine distribution in the Zion and Lake County regions. The search, necessitating hazardous materials precautions, resulted in the seizure of narcotics, including cocaine, alongside multiple firearms, although no drug production facilities were identified. The identities of those charged in the warrant sweep have not yet been released.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Special Investigation Group and the Gurnee Police Department provided substantial support in the successful execution of the search warrant. Local law enforcement is seeking additional information from the public to aid the ongoing investigation.
