Lake County, Illinois: Des Plaines River Bridge on Route 60 Lane Reductions to Cause Traffic Delays

Vernon Hills, IL – Vernon Hills Police Department warns of upcoming traffic delays as Route 60 over the Des Plaines River bridge, just east of Milwaukee Ave, will see lane reductions starting Monday, April 8. 

The roadway will be narrowed down to one lane in both directions, anticipating significant congestion. Motorists are advised to consider alternative routes or allow additional travel time. Strict adherence to speed limits, work zone signs, and guidance from flaggers is crucial for the safety of both workers and drivers.
