Lake County, IN – I-65 Northbound is closed Friday morning after a semi jackknife on the roadway.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation Northwest, all lanes of northbound I-65 in Lake County are closed at mile marker 259, situated north of Ridge Road and south of I-94, as a result of the jackknifed semi-truck. Currently, traffic is passing on the right shoulder only.

This incident comes as the region grapples with snowy conditions from overnight lake-effect snow, causing treacherous driving conditions.
