LaPorte, Indiana: INDOT Schedules Public Hearing for U.S. 35 Road Project on March 6

LaPorte, IN – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced a public hearing to discuss the upcoming U.S. 35 pavement replacement and utility relocation project in LaPorte. 

According to the announcement, the hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 6, with a formal presentation to start at 6pm at the Health Foundation of LaPorte, 140 East Shore Parkway, LaPorte, IN 46350. The initiative aims to enhance the overall pavement condition of U.S. 35, update curbing, improve pedestrian facilities, and increase capacity for water and stormwater facilities as per INDOT’s Storm Water Management Plan. 

The project is part of a broader effort to modernize infrastructure within the city’s corridor. Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about the project’s scope and timelines.
