Bond Set at $500,000 for Illinois High School Student after Gun found in Car

GLEN ELLYN, IL – A shocking incident at Glenbard South High School has left parents and students on edge. 

An Illinois high school student has been taken into custody after allegedly bringing a gun to school and threatening other students in the parking lot. Authorities later reported finding a unloaded .44 caliber firearm in the student’s car. 

The accused faces two counts of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon in Public – School and two counts of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon. 

Bond has been set at a staggering $500,000, leaving many wondering what drove the student to bring a gun to school. 

The investigation is ongoing.
