Motorcycle Collision Claims Life of Joliet Resident Thursday

JOLIET, Ill. — A motorcyclist died in a collision with a passenger vehicle at the intersection of East Cass Street and Henderson Avenue in Joliet on Thursday night. 

The victim, identified as Jacolb K. Ammons, was pronounced dead at Silver Cross Hospital. The Will County Coroner’s Office released the victim’s name on Friday.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Joliet Police Department, and further details are pending. The intersection was closed for several hours due to the collision, causing significant traffic disruptions. Joliet Firefighters Local 44 responded to the scene and reminded drivers to comply with traffic regulations and remain alert.
