Indiana Man Arrested for Firing Gun at Cartoon Themed Campground

PLYMOUTH, IN — A man’s attempt to restore peace at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park backfield after being arrested for allegedly firing a gun. 

According to police reports, Craig Topel, 68, fired a single round into the grass in response to fellow campers who were reportedly disturbing Topel’s nightly slumber. Marshall County Deputies and a Plymouth Officer swiftly responded to the incident, taking Topel into custody.

Topel now faces a level 6 felony charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
