Lowell Man Arrested in Suspected Burglary at Vacant House

WHEATFIELD, IN – A Lowell man was arrested last Thursday, May 18th, following a suspected burglary at an unoccupied residence near Wheatfield, Indiana. 

According to reports, a suspicious vehicle was seen in the area by residents. When Jasper County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at the scene, they allegedly found 43-year-old Eric M. Skinner loading a wood splitter into a pickup truck. 

Startled by the deputies’ arrival, Skinner reportedly jumped into the driver’s seat and fled. The pursuing deputies managed to halt the vehicle a short while later, subsequently identifying Skinner as the driver.

Skinner now faces multiple felony charges, including burglary, theft, resisting law enforcement, and driving with a suspended license (Class A Misdemeanor).
