Nicor Gas Pledges $100K for Community Programs in Illinois

NAPERVILLE, IL – Nicor Gas has pledged $100,000 to support cultural and community service programs in neighborhoods with the most significant stabilization needs. 

Nonprofits with a 501(c)(3) designation can apply for grants of up to $5,000 to support their initiatives from May 1 until July 31. 

Nicor Gas invests in organizations that promote the sustainability and livability of neighborhoods, such as local museums, social services, and non-core health services. Jackie Nagel, Manager of Community Engagement, said: “We are proud to invest in organizations that support these causes across the state.” 

Funding decisions will be announced by September 30.
