SkillsUSA Awards Scholarships to Kankakee Area Career Center Students

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Six students from Kankakee Area Career Center have received scholarships from SkillsUSA, a nonprofit organization that supports career and technical education.

The scholarship recipients were announced on Monday. They are Sydney Haut from Grant Park CUSD #6, Ryan Wehrle from Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School, Areli Ramirez from Iroquois West CUSD 10, Adriana Cabrera from Beecher200U, Isabelle Hemp from Central High School, and Mikaela Loschiavo from Grant Park CUSD #6.

Haut, Wehrle, Ramirez, Cabrera, and Loschiavo all received scholarships in the field of Law Enforcement, while Hemp received a scholarship in Multimedia.

SkillsUSA offers scholarships to students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, and technical skills in their chosen field. The organization’s mission is to empower students to become world-class workers, leaders, and responsible American citizens.

The Kankakee Area Career Center congratulates the scholarship recipients and encourages all students to continue striving for excellence in their education and careers.
