Watseka Funeral Home damaged, suffered partial roof collapse under windy conditions Saturday

WATSEKA – Baier Funeral Home suffered a partial roof collapse during heavy windy conditions Saturday.

Police responding to the scene blocked a roadway near the 102 W Oak location where building materials from an exterior walkway and roof, including bricks, had fallen nearby.  

A High Wind Advisory was issued Saturday across the area with warnings of gusts up to 60 mph possible.

It’s unclear at this time the total severity of damaged caused to the building at this time.
