Bourbonnais Friendship Festival Seeks 2023 Miss, Mister, Prince, and Princess Friendship

BOURBONNAIS, IL – The much-anticipated Bourbonnais Friendship Festival is back, and this time it’s on the lookout for not only Miss and Mister Friendship but also Prince and Princess Friendship. 

The festival, renowned for its celebration of camaraderie and community spirit, invites young residents of Kankakee County to showcase their friendly personalities and compete for these esteemed titles.

To be eligible for the Miss and Mister Friendship Contest, contestants must be between the ages of 11 and 16 and reside in Kankakee County. The winners will be drawn during the festival’s Opening Ceremonies, scheduled for June 21. It is mandatory for all contestants to be present to claim their highly coveted titles.

Similarly, for the Prince and Princess Friendship Contest, participants must be between 6 and 10 years old and also be residents of Kankakee County. The winners will be chosen during the same Opening Ceremonies as the Miss and Mister Friendship Contest.

The victorious contestants in both categories will be adorned with a crown and sash, symbolizing their prestigious titles. They will receive special recognition during the Children’s Parade on June 23, showcasing their regal presence. 

Their moment of glory will continue during the Grand Parade on June 25, where they will be acknowledged for their exceptional friendship qualities.
