Limestone Township Library District has expanded its offerings to include a Seed Library for patrons and community members.
Visitors can choose from a variety of vegetable and flower seeds, including beets, spaghetti, purple coneflowers, and sunflowers. All you need to do is sign in the Seed Library Book after selecting your seeds. If you have any questions, feel free to call the Library at 815-939-1696.
The library also offers a full calendar of events for all ages. On April 7, visitors can pick up the Rainbow Take-and-Make Project. Supplies are limited, so be sure to stop in early. Adult Book Club meets on April 11 to discuss The Last Queen by Clive Irving, and on April 13, the library hosts a Family Video Game Party with Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Mario Kart, and Guitar Hero. Bring your own Nintendo Switch and joy-cons and enjoy the snacks provided.
On April 15, kids in Kindergarten-6th Grade can celebrate World Art Day and create their own artwork using the supplies provided by the library. Adult Craft Night on April 17 will feature a Rock Bowl Centerpiece project, and on April 22, Puppet Story Theater will be performed by Mr. William and Ms. Holly, followed by a craft session.
All events are free, and you don’t need a library card to attend. However, if you want to check out books, the process for getting a card is simple. Just bring your driver’s license or state ID and a piece of mail to verify your address. Persons under 18 need a parent’s signature. Non-residents may need to pay a fee.
For more information, check out the library’s website, Facebook, and Instagram pages. And if you’re looking for something to do, head over to the Limestone Township Library District and join in the fun!
