Frankfort Scarecrow Contest pushing forward during pandemic

FRANKFORT – The Village of Frankfort is pushing forward with its annual Scarecrow Building Contest during the pandemic.

The Frankfort Park District put the call out to all local organizations early Tuesday morning who wish to participate in the annual contest.  Past participates have included anyone from scouts and politicians to businesses and families. 

Scarecrows are due by October 7th and will be displayed outside the Founders Community Center. Voting is set to begin October 9th and run through Halloween.  Voting will also take place on the District’s Facebook Page.

In Kankakee County, the Bourbonnais Township Park District postponed its annual Scarecrow Contest till 2021 due to the pandemic.
