MANHATTAN, Ill. – After a month of extensive search efforts and numerous tips from the public, the Will County Sheriff’s Investigations Unit announced on Saturday that 16-year-old Lana Roemer, who had been reported missing from her Manhattan home on February 5, 2023, has been located and is safe.

Roemer had run away from home and was found thanks to the hard work of the Will County Sheriff’s Office and the cooperation of several law enforcement agencies and concerned citizens. The Sheriff’s Office expressed their gratitude towards everyone who assisted in the investigation.

The news of Roemer’s safe return brings relief to her family and friends who had been worried about her wellbeing. The Will County Sheriff’s Office hopes that this incident serves as a reminder of the importance of reporting any information related to missing persons cases.
