MOKENA, IL – A horrifying rollover crash in Mokena on Saturday evening sent shockwaves through the community, as two individuals were left injured, and traffic came to a standstill.
During the accident at LaGrange Rd and LaPorte Rd, a vehicle rolled over, trapping its occupants inside and causing significant disruption to traffic flow. Emergency services, including the Mokena Police Department and local fire protection districts, raced to the scene to provide assistance and medical aid.
The crash had a major impact on traffic at the location, leading to delays that inconvenienced motorists for over an hour on Route 45.
Both victims were accessed after the roof of the car was cut off by first responders. The victims were taken an area hospital for evaluation. The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
