ELMHURST, IL – A fatal crash Wednesday in Illinois has claimed one life and left multiple individuals, including young children, injured.
According to Elmhurst Police, the collision just after 5 a.m. occurred on St. Charles Road near Hill Avenue. A Chevrolet SUV and an Audi SUV sustained significant damage. The adult female driver of the Chevrolet SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Audi SUV driver was seriously injured. Two young children in the Chevrolet SUV were also seriously injured in the crash and transport to Loyola University Medical Center.
The investigation by the Elmhurst Police Department and the DuPage County Coroner’s Office is ongoing. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact (630) 530-3050.
