Two Rescued After Drowning Incident in Illinois Neighborhood

WOODRIDGE, Ill. – In a swift response to a distress call reporting a drowning incident, two individuals were successfully rescued in the 1800 block of Fitzgerald Rd on Sunday. The incident occurred around 4:48 p.m. at a retention pond within the neighborhood.

Local fire departments promptly located and provided medical attention to one of the victims. With the involvement of a full Division 16 Dive team, the second victim was eventually rescued from the water.

Both victims are currently receiving medical care, and no information regarding their age has been disclosed thus far. Updates on their condition are pending.

The collaborative rescue effort involved dive teams from Lisle Woodridge and Naperville, with additional assistance from rescue crews hailing from Darien, Lisle, Downers Grove, Naperville, and Bolingbrook.
