Lombard, IL – Lombard Fire Department was swiftly mobilized on Sunday for a structure fire on the 400 block of South Grace Street, reported around 1 p.m.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a fire in the detached garage of a single-family home. Their rapid response with hose lines and immediate search for any spread to the adjacent home and properties ensured the blaze was contained to its point of origin, effectively minimizing damage.

The fire was under control within ten minutes, with no injuries reported among residents or fire personnel. The damage incurred from the incident is estimated at $10,000. The Lombard Fire Investigations Unit is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
