KANKAKEE, IL – A routine traffic stop on I-57 took a twist Thursday when Illinois State Police arrested 61-year-old John E. Jackson of Jonesville, Louisiana.

According to reports troopers stopped the northbound car being pulled over near the Court Street exit, prompted by an apparent traffic violation. Upon Jackson’s stop, made a startling discovery: he was in possession of a firearm.
