Man Stabbed After Talking to Friends in Kankakee

KANKAKEE, IL – A man was stabbed in the leg Thursday afternoon while engaged in conversation with friends in the 1200 block of East Oak Street.

According to reports the 37-year-old victim reported that what began as a seemingly ordinary interaction with two friends took a violent and unexpected turn. According to the victim, as he attempted to walk away from the group following an argument with one of his friends, consumed by anger, crept up behind him and inflicted a deep stab wound to his thigh.

Despite the severity of the attack, no charges have been filed in connection with this alarming incident.
