MANTENO – A man is recovering after he accidentally shot him self in the leg Tuesday night.
According to Manteno Police it happened just after 7 p.m. Tuesday night at a home on South Poplar where they were called for reports of a man who had been shot.
When police arrived the man’s wife informed police the man had been cleaning his gun when it went off, injuring his leg.
The man’s identity was not released by police. He’s now recovering at a local hospital.
