Nashville, TN – Some strong thunderstorms may be possible this afternoon across the mid-state region, especially if there are significant breaks in cloud coverage. Strong gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall are expected to be the main concerns.

According to the National Weather Service Nashville, enhanced deep-layer wind shear will also be present during the afternoon hours today. Although the threats of large hail and tornadoes are extremely low, residents should remain vigilant. The affected areas include Nashville, Clarksville, and surrounding regions, with weather conditions likely to impact travel and outdoor activities.
