Chicago, IL – Chicagoans are advised to brace for a tumultuous weather weekend as the National Weather Service predicts three distinct rounds of thunderstorms, each carrying the potential for severe conditions.

Starting Friday, the city will see alternating showers and thunderstorms, with concerns for bursts of heavy rainfall and gusty winds. These systems are poised to interrupt what could otherwise be a balmy weekend, with Saturday and Sunday temperatures reaching upward of 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The threat of severe weather escalates with possibilities of intense thunderstorms forecasted to bring heavy rain, increasing the risk of localized flooding and wind damage.

Residents are urged to monitor weather advisories closely and prepare for a swift response to any severe weather alerts. The community is encouraged to secure outdoor items, review safety plans, and remain vigilant throughout the weekend as conditions develop.
