LEMONT, Ill. – A motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon on the Lemont 355 bridge has left one person injured and caused a major traffic jam.
According to witnesses, the rider was speeding and weaving through traffic before losing control and crashing on I55 N between Lemont and Cass.
The passenger was transported to a local hospital, the extent of injuries are unknown at this time. Police are reminding drivers to slow down and be cautious on the roads.
Clean up crews remained on the scene working to clear the scene.
