Naperville Police Arrest Man for Crack Cocaine Possession

Naperville, IL – Naperville police arrested a man on felony drug charges after a traffic stop Wednesday evening.

According to Naperville Police, Erskine Wheeler, 44, was stopped near Diehl Road and Raymond Drive just before 5:00 p.m. for multiple traffic violations. Officers allegedly found .1 grams of crack cocaine in his vehicle. Wheeler was then transported to the Naperville Detention Center, where a search uncovered 21.1 additional grams of alleged crack cocaine on his person.

Wheeler faces two petty traffic violations, Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class 1 felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, a class X felony. Police remind the public that charges are accusations, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
