Peoria, IL – Three Arrested Following Alleged Attempted Break-In and Weapon Discovery

Early Wednesday morning, Peoria Police were called to an alleged attempted break-in at a residence in the 1700 block of N. Great Oak. Officers reportedly arrived around 9:46 a.m. and located a group of adult males adjacent to the property. The individuals had allegedly traveled to the location in the same vehicle.

Upon searching the vehicle, police reportedly found a handgun with a loaded magazine. Deshone J. Anderson, 18, was subsequently arrested on charges including Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Handgun. Colby B. Howard, 23, and Brian L. Howard, 21, were arrested for Criminal Damage to Property and Mob Action. 

All three were transported to the Peoria County Jail. The Peoria Police Department encourages anyone with information regarding any violent crimes to contact them or submit anonymous tips via Crime Stoppers. The suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
