Moline, IL – In a notable development following a robbery at the Greenleaf Tobacco & Vape store in Moline, Illinois, police have successfully apprehended 29-year-old Donovan D. Cannon of Eldridge, Iowa. The arrest took place in Park View, Iowa, with the collaborative efforts of the Moline Police Department and the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
Cannon faces alleged charges of Aggravated Robbery and Theft, connected to the incident that occurred on April 9.
According to the Moline Police Department, the apprehension of Cannon was facilitated by his noticeable change in appearance; he had shaved his head, distinguishing him from his look in the surveillance footage captured during the robbery. Investigators also recovered shaved braids at his residence, alongside an airsoft gun and other evidence related to the crime.
Currently, Cannon is being held at the Scott County Jail, awaiting extradition to Illinois. The case continues to develop as authorities piece together the events leading up to the robbery.
