To identify the affected units, customers should refer to the model numbers located on the barcode at the bottom of each item. The recall includes the following model numbers:
- Loveseat: 3700318, 3700418, 3700318C, and 3700418C
- Sofa: 3700315, 3700415, 3700315C, and 3700415C
- Recliner: 3700313, 3700413, 3700313C, and 3700413C
The recall instructs consumers to immediately unplug these loveseats, sofas, and recliners and contact Ashley Furniture Industries for a free repair. This measure aims to eliminate the fire hazard and ensure the safety of households across the country.
Ashley Furniture Industries decided to issue the recall following six reported incidents of the cupholders’ LED lighting overheating, resulting in fire and smoke damage, as well as damage to the furniture itself.
