Nebraska, Central Iowa Brace for Severe Storms Tuesday Afternoon

Omaha, NE – Severe storms are forecasted for Tuesday, posing significant risks for Nebraska and central Iowa. The National Weather Service in Omaha/Valley has issued a warning for large hail, damaging winds, and potential flooding between 2 PM and 8 PM.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 50-80% chance of thunderstorms, with wind gusts up to 80 mph and hail reaching up to one inch in diameter. Although brief tornadoes are possible, the primary threats will be wind and hail. Residents are advised to stay alert and have multiple ways to receive weather warnings.
