New Hampshire Officials Identify Pilot in Fatal Overnight Helicopter Crash

CROYDON, NH – A devastating helicopter accident overnight Sunday has left one man dead. 

Carl Svenson, 73, of Loudon, was the only individual on board when his helicopter plummeted off of Pine Hill Rd around 10:30 p.m. En route to Rhode Island, the crash was investigated by New Hampshire Fish & Game officials.

Search crews located the wreckage shortly before 2 a.m. Monday, with Svenson found dead at the scene. Federal investigators have been notified about the accident, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
