Newton County Bottleneck: Semi Rollover Clogs State Road 14 for Hours

Newton County, IN – State Road 14 was shut down for hours on Wednesday morning near County Road 400 East, after a semi-truck accident resulted in significant traffic delays. 

The Newton County Sheriff’s Deputies report that the truck, which rolled onto its side, blocked both directions of traffic shortly after dawn, causing a bottleneck that lasted until late morning.

According to the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, the roadway was cleared and reopened approximately five hours later. While there have been no immediate reports of injuries, the cause of the accident is still under investigation, with further details pending.
