Northern Indiana Faces Severe Weather Threat: Slight Risk of Tornadoes, Hail

Chicago, IL – Northern Indiana is on alert as the National Weather Service forecasts potential severe weather this evening. Conditions are conducive to strong storms, particularly in the Slight Risk zone, which may include damaging winds, hail up to two inches in diameter, and possibly a tornado or two. 

According to the latest updates, the primary concerns center around funnel clouds and a brief weak tornado along the cold front, with the likelihood of severe weather extending until 8 PM EDT. The Storm Prediction Center has scaled back the Enhanced Risk level to Slight Risk for counties including Grant, Blackford, Jay, Adams, Wells, Van Wert, and Putnam, while Allen County, OH, remains under Enhanced Risk. 

Residents are advised to monitor the situation closely and be prepared to take action should severe weather develop.
