Ohio Man Arrested in Indiana for Car Theft, Hiding After Home Break-In

Richmond, IN – The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in Richmond, Indiana, apprehended an Ohio man following a car theft and home invasion. Deputy David Winburn initially discovered a vehicle, reported stolen from Columbus, Ohio, abandoned on South SR 227. 

The situation took a turn when a local resident reported a break-in at their home. The intruder, after being confronted by the homeowner, was reportedly found hiding in a vehicle in their driveway.

Authorities arrested the suspect, 35-year-old Alden Baccas, without incident. Baccas now faces charges of burglary and two counts of theft, and is detained in the Wayne County Jail.
