BOURBONNAIS – For the first time since resuming classes in August, Olivet Nazarene University is reporting zero active COVID-19 cases on its Bourbonnais campus.

It’s the first time since students returned to campus the school can make such a claim among its 2,525 traditional undergraduates.

Shortly after school resumed at the University on August 17th, cases began to populate on the Bourbonnais campus. At least one positive case had been listed on the University’s response website.

The site is part of compliance with the U.S. Department of Education Clery Act, which guides what health and safety information universities share with their campus.

Friday marked the fifth consecutive week of classes completed at the University. As of Friday, 545 pandemic cases had been reported in Bourbonnais since mid-March.
