Orland Park, IL – A meticulously planned controlled burn is set to occur in Orland Park’s Humphrey Woods today, under strict regulatory compliance to bolster the area’s natural habitat.

According to a recent announcement by the Village of Orland Park, Illinois, a contractor will be conducting a controlled burn in a section of Humphrey Woods near the Village Center at 14700 S. Ravinia Ave. The burn is planned for today, March 13. This carefully managed burn aims to maintain the ecological health of the woods and is conducted under the guidelines of the Illinois EPA, county, and municipal code.
