PACE Bus Collision in Illinois: Two Injured as SUV Overturns

JOLIET, Illinois – A crash between a PACE bus and an SUV transpired on Friday at the crossroads of Ingalls Ave. and Cora St. 

According to reports it happened at 4:18 p.m. with Joliet Fire Department arriving promptly, discovering the SUV capsized with its passengers trapped. 

First responders from Engine Company 5, Ambulance 5, and an EMS Lieutenant who happened to be nearby, immediate rescue actions were initiated. The SUV’s two occupants were safely removed and are currently recuperating in local hospitals. 

While the bus passengers were left uninjured, the incident intensified when downed power lines necessitated intervention from Commonwealth Edison.
