Peoria, IL – In a coordinated operation on Friday, March 8, 2024, the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division successfully apprehended two individuals wanted on various charges, including firearms offenses. The operation took place around 4:23 p.m. in the 200 block of N. MacArthur, leading to the arrest of an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old male without any incident.
According to the Peoria Police Department, the 17-year-old was arrested based on an active warrant. The 18-year-old faced arrest for multiple firearm-related charges stemming from an earlier incident (# 24-3439) and an active warrant. Due to legal considerations surrounding his juvenile status at the time of the offenses, his name has not been disclosed. Following their arrest, both individuals were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center for further processing.
