Peoria, IL – Following a distressing incident in Peoria, where an adult male suffered a critical head injury after a physical altercation, police have successfully apprehended a suspect.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on Monday April 1, 2024, around 6:33 p.m. in the 2100 block of N. Prospect, prompting an immediate response from the Peoria Police. Upon arrival, officers found the victim conscious but disoriented, leading to his urgent transportation to a local hospital.
Investigations into the altercation led to the identification of 51-year-old Donald Moore as the suspect, culminating in his arrest on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Moore was located in the 1200 block of E. Frye and was taken into custody without any issues. After a thorough interview at the Peoria Police Department, Moore faced charges of aggravated battery and was subsequently detained at the Peoria County Jail.
