Police Investigate Apparent Fatal Self-Inflicted Gunshot Incident at Illinois Gas Station

Sherman, IL – A tragic incident occurred Saturday evening at Casey’s General Store in Sherman, where police discovered a 36-year-old man deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the Sherman Police Department, the report of “Shots Fired” was received at approximately 5:32 PM yesterday, at the store located at 270 Crossing Drive. Officers who arrived at the scene confirmed the man’s death, which is currently being treated as a self-inflicted incident. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until the family is notified.
