CHICAGO – A coop attempt is underway in the US Capital as thousands of protesters working to undermine the rule of law. Protesters have stormed the US Capitol Building for the first time in history, entering the Capitol Rotunda.
An armed standoff is currently occurring on the House floor with one protester broke into the Senate Floor and sat in the chair Mike Pence had been issuing proceedings.
Members of Congress are in lockdown inside the House and Senate while some officials have been evacuated. The House chamber has been locked while what is called an ‘armed standoff’ has been reported within.
This is a coup attempt.

“This is absolutely, utterly despicable,” Congressman Adam Kinzinger (IL-16) said shortly after being safely evacuated from the Capital Building. “Anywhere else in the world we would call this a coup attempt.”
Protesters had arrived in Washington for a Trump rally Wednesday used to falsely assert the election was stolen from him. Trump lost both the popular and electoral collage vote, yet took the stage around Noon eastern time claiming he won the election.

Capitol police have requested additional help in containing the situation with some receiving gas masks following tear gas use inside of the Capitol Rotunda.
“Donald Trump has incited a violent coup attempt. And his enablers share responsibility for this, pure and simple.” said Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker Wednesday afternoon.
D.C. mayor has now imposed a curfew in direct response for 6pm tonight while lawmakers attempt to certify election results that President-elect Joe Biden won the election. DC officials have requested the National Guard, which has reportedly been denied.
