Semi Driver’s night goes terribly wrong after speeding stop on Route 45 in Kankakee

KANKAKEE – A semi driver caught speeding on Route 45/52 Tuesday night was charged on multiple counts after Police discovered she was driving on a suspended license.

According to Kankakee City Police, 25-year-old Michelle L Anthony of Danville was pulled over after being clocked doing 65 in a 45 mile zone.  After it was discovered Anthony was using a suspended license, police searched the cab of the Semi.  The search discovered a handgun, ammo, and 160 grams of Marijuana.  It was later discovered Anthony’s FOID card was also found to have been revoked.

Anthony was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful use of a Weapon, Armed Violence, Driving on a Suspended License, and possession of a controlled substance.  She was booked into  Jerome Combs Detention Center where she’s being held on $25,000 bond.
