Severe Thunderstorms Threaten St. Louis with Damaging Winds and Hail Today

St. Louis, MO – Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening across the St. Louis region, with threats including damaging winds, large hail, and localized flash flooding.

According to the US National Weather Service in St. Louis, the greatest threat for severe weather is between noon and 6 p.m., potentially lingering until midnight. Residents are advised to stay indoors if thunder is heard and to remain cautious of hazardous conditions.

Looking ahead, cooler and drier weather is forecasted for Thursday and Friday, with highs in the low 80s and lower humidity. Little to no rain is expected, providing a reprieve from the recent warm and humid conditions.
